What elements does an effective appraisal contain?

Yes, pictures are great, and lots of them is fine. Unfortunately, they aren't quite enough to reach an accurate conclusion on the value. The Data Sheet contains all of the vehicle and owner information such as VIN, License, use, insurance losses or reported damage, type of appraisal and value, and the final value. Equipment sheets are customized for each vehicle (Antique and Classic Only). They include all body and trim, interior, drivetrain and the condition of each, with a checklist of all available options and 'as equipped' (Colors and S/N additional) Commentary reviews the particular make and model, build numbers (if applicable), historical information, model differences and any discrepancies in identification, such as incorrect engine or interior appointments, etc. The car is then extensively photographed and thoroughly evaluated both in person and by image. All components are assessed and given a rating and/or notation. Book values are checked from multiple s.ources, calculated, compared, and averaged. Comparable sales, listings, and no sales are also calculated, averaged and assigned a grade on condition. These values are compared, combined, and averaged. Additions and deductions are calculated along with inflation (if lacking current sales). These calculations and methods are explained in writing. The value and grade are assigned followed by adjustments, and the final appraised value is reached. Accept nothing less
